A New Way to Update Your Roof?

06.10.2014 · Posted in Buying RV's, Selling RV's

rvroofRemember when an RV roof was an aluminum roof? The sun would come out and the roof would expand. The sun would go down and the roof would contract. No matter which way the metal moved it pulled on the sealants and before you knew it your roof leaked.

Then, in the late 1980’s RV manufacturers began to use a rubber roofing product applied over light plywood. Rubber neither expands or contracts so instead of lasting months suddenly sealants lasted for years.
So what do you do when the rubber begins to fail?
I’ve talked to numerous RV owners of older rv’s who have replaced the old rubber membrane with a new rubber roof and have had good results.

Now I see another alternative: RVRoof.com
I don’t personally know of this company or their product but I do think if I had an aging rubber roof in need of attention I would check this product out.

If you are aware of this or any other product good for roof replacement please let us all in on the story.
