What’s That RV Worth?

12.31.2013 · Posted in Buying RV's, Selling RV's

You are looking longingly at your dream RV. It’s exactly what you’ve been looking for and it looks like it’s in perfect condition. It’s even close to your price range. But what’s it really worth?
You sure don’t want to pay too much.
I suggest you start with NADA. RV dealers use a different version of this guide (but this one will work for you) to get a feel for rv values.
They publish values for cars, boats, airplanes, rv’s and more.

Make sure you are in the RV book. Click on the manufacturer of the rv you are looking at. Next click on the year, brand and model.

Now’s the tough part.
Scroll through all the options that are available. These days they are all built with air conditioning and awnings etc. Generally do not add for the options. If it’s a gas motorized make sure you put in the mileage. Click through until you get to values. You will see “low retail” and an “average retail” price.

Next google the specific rv you are looking at, so for example “2006 Winnebago Adventurer 38” and see what others are asking for similar units.
You’ve gathered all the information, now it’s time to make a decision. Good Luck
